How we compare HP 67 cartridges

Which retailers

We currently compare: HP Store, Staples, Walmart, Target, Amazon.com. A retailer is here because it's useful to someone buying HP 67 — not because it pays us. Retailers without an affiliate program belong here just as much.

Some well-known US retailers are missing for now: when we checked on September 27, 2026, Office Depot's website blocked our connection from outside the US, LD Products and 123inkjets showed an automated bot check, and Best Buy's search didn't list HP 67 cartridges. Target is listed, but its price service blocked our check, so Target appears without an amount. We don't get around bot checks.

How a price gets onto the site

• Every price was read from the retailer's exact product page and carries the date it was checked.
• A price older than 14 days is no longer shown as a number; the retailer stays listed with "price at retailer".
• Shipping times and stock go out of date faster: after 2 days we stop repeating them.
• We only show Amazon prices from Amazon's own Product Advertising API. Until that's connected, we link to the exact Amazon listing without an amount.
• For Original HP cartridges on Walmart.com we use offers sold by Walmart.com itself. The DoorStepInk alternatives are sold by DoorStepInk through Walmart's marketplace; every offer names its seller.

Ranking

Retailers with a current price come first, lowest to highest. If shipping costs are known for every priced retailer, we rank by the price including shipping; otherwise by product price. On a tie, the most recently checked price comes first, then a fixed editorial order. Commission is never an input.

Unknown shipping is never shown as "free". HP Store US publishes free shipping storewide. At Staples, Walmart and Target, shipping depends on the order value, membership or pickup option, so we show it as unknown rather than guess.

All US prices are shown before sales tax, as the retailers show them; the tax depends on your state and is added at checkout.

Cost per page

Cost per page = product price ÷ HP's stated yield (ISO/IEC 24711), per color position. We never add black and tri-color into one figure: they don't run out at the same time. Shipping and sales tax aren't included in the cost per page.

We compare an alternative with the same composition in Original HP cartridges and show the pages per color separately. An alternative's yield is the seller's own figure, not tested by us. If a seller gives no page yield, we list the product without a cost comparison; we don't convert milliliters into pages.

What we don't do

• No made-up prices, reviews, star ratings, stock levels or test results.
• No "best buy" based on a single criterion, no countdown timers or scarcity badges.
• No calling an alternative "as good as the original" without our own testing.
